"Where did you get that belt?!"

 

Welcome to our website. My name is Elizabeth and I’m founder and Managing Director of Floridetti.com.  Floridetti Ltd began in 2004 after being introduced to the most amazing belts whilst on holiday in Northern Italy.
 
It wasn’t just a holiday; I was there to meet my partner Laurent's family for the first time (very nerve racking as my Italian was limited!). But there was no reason for me to worry, as they were the friendliest people, not to mention the most stylish!
 
After being given a guided tour of the family business, their belt factory and boutique, it was explained to me that they had been going for over 40 years.

 

The factory produced belts of the finest quality, using only the best certified skins and buckles from exclusive suppliers in Italy, well known for quality leather goods. 
 
Whilst in the shop I was surrounded by the most beautiful, hand made fashion belts that were so irresistible, I couldn’t leave with just one (actually I bought four but who's counting!).  It was incredible just how much time, love and attention went into each individual belt, most taking up to 3 days to complete! 

 

Back in London, I couldn’t wait to show my friends my glamorous new belts; they fell in love with them as I had and were excited and impatient to learn how they too could get their hands on these trendy new accessories.
 
We found a whole new way of accessorising our outfits and learnt that these belts added that touch of style and glamour that we’d been lacking. Putting an outfit together from then on was never the same. Whenever I was out with my friends I was often asked “where did you get that belt?” That…… is when my idea came to light.  
 
So I did some research and found that you couldn’t buy luxurious belts like these anywhere in the UK, I’m sure you’d struggle anywhere in the world, unless you are willing to pay couture prices.  Some of the well known designer brands make belts from the same exotic leathers but can charge thousands of pounds more.

 

We sourced exclusive leathers and experimented with textures and colours, thus creating Floridetti.com’s collection.
 
My aim for Floridetti.com is to introduce you to our exclusive, hand made and exquisite belts at affordable prices. When you buy a belt from Floridetti.com, you do not pay for the name; you pay for the love and attention to detail, the finest materials and 40 years of hand made expertise.  

 

We’re always ahead of fashion trends as we attend all the trade fairs where top manufacturers exhibit their quality materials and where top designers go for their inspiration for next season’s collections. 

 

So that’s how Floridetti.com was born!
